The entire Eletronet transport network (Backbone) was built with optical cables in OPGW technology, installed on the towers of the high-voltage power transmission lines. This technology is recognized as one of the most secure and stable when it comes to long distance data transmission, offering a high level of availability, quality, and continuity in the transport of optical signals.

Eletronet operates a national OPGW network, on which the Full IP service is based and, as the name itself implies, the FULL IP Eletronet service stands out for its differentiated connectivity proposal, with unrestricted access for its Clients to various transits, access to more than two dozen Internet traffic exchange points, national and international, and presence in the main Datacenters, which guarantees direct, unrestricted and unlimited access to content and services distributed worldwide. It is available as Full IPop, delivered to the PoPs, or Full IPix, delivered to the various IXPs where Eletronet is present.
